The Story:

Someone jacked all the beer from Devlab/TSA HQ — now the next Chill & Grill party is in danger!  No way Don Zabelinho lets that slide – he's track the thief through the forest!

In the rush to escape, the thief dropped a bunch of beer bottles along the way.
Lost beer bottles in the wilderness? That's not a problem. Don Zabelinho tries to bring every single one back to the Devlab!

Controls:

Use or emulate a Joystick plugged into port 2. Move left and right to walk, press fire to jump!
To collect a beer bottle, just walk through it. Avoid the contact with the creatures in the forest and watch out for spikes and water – they’re deadly to you!

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I placed your awesome game into the best C64 homebrew games of 2025.

‘Beer Rescue’ by ‘TSA/JustEpyx’. The narrative is short and the mission is clear... The sacred beer supplies have gone missing and you are the only (volunteer) hero who sets out to search for the golden juice. However, there are evil creatures out to get you and you have to be quick on your feet. With skilful jumps, you dodge the evil henchmen and collect the bottles one by one (in episode 002, all levels!). The controls are absolutely OK, the graphics are really tasty for this type of single-screen platformer. Unfortunately a bit short, but perfect as a party game when your colleagues want to abuse the joystick again.

Hello. Looks great! Am I allowed to play, record (like 10 or 15 Minutes or longer, if I have your permission.) and upload the video of it on YouTube? I always say nice things about video games. I am just a lousy gamer.

PS: I do not earn any money with that

Yeah, of course you can make a video of playing the game, and you’re totally free to monetize it if you want!

Thank you so much!!! I wish I could.

Hello, in one of my last issue of Retro News Flash, I covered the game Beer Rescue and ran a short report on it. It's a really great game, I really liked it.

A very entertaining video, thanks for showcasing our game.

Nice, but very challenging game. A few more enemies that don't rush toward the player so purposefully would have been good for the game. Our German-language review can be found in our recorded livestream starting at 01:35:37. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂

A very nice and accurate presentation of our game and the people at Evoke, hehe.
Thanks for playing our game.

Absolutely love this! Music is fantastic and very addictive.. has that "one more go vibes"  Would love to add this to my physical C64 collection

Nordischsound created the music, and he is a master of his craft. He will be delighted that you like the music so much.

graphics: good. gameplay: a bit boring. overall: 5.5/10

people can whine about it all they want, that's my opinion on this game.

That’s alright, it’s your opinion, and of course everyone can have one.

Great platform game, nice music also, feels very 1990s oldschool. Also thanks for using Tape Master Pro V5 for the digital tape version of this game. I look forward to seeing future game development for you in the near future.

Thank you, and thanks for your awesome tools!

Very interesting title 🙃 Is this the full version? If so, as one of the editors of K&A PLUS, I can offer a physical release of this game on C64, as well as Danger Denis (floppy disk, cassette tape, cartridge). I'm still waiting for your email 🙃

Hi,
Beer Rescue was actually our first game. Danger Dennis is a further development of it.
With Beer Rescue, we’re actually still thinking about whether to expand it. We want to see how people like it first.

As for Danger Dennis, the development is planned for the long term. We’re following the Amiga original as a reference, so it might take a while until the Amiga game is completely finished.

I’ll get in touch once we’re actually at least close to finishing the game. Before that, it doesn’t really make sense.

But as I said, if people are interested in physical versions of the game, it would be great to hear that from them! I should probably add that to the description, since I honestly have no idea if people even want it.

I understand 😁

We will be in touch.

From my experience working at K&A PLUS I know that people like the physical version of the game. It doesn't have to be a separate release. We also do compilations of games on floppy disks or cassette tapes. That we can always arrange 🙃

In that case, I'm waiting for your email , which I'll later forward to my editor-in-chief, because he has the final say 🙃 I, in addition to writing reviews, also act as a headhunter 😂
