AmiRun and the Alien Beersuckers
A downloadable game
Devlab/TSA is proud to present our Commodore 64 game
Amirun and the alien beerscuckers. Our take on a "Pooyan" clone, more specifically inspired by "Pigs from Space" (1984), which was itself a clone of Pooyan.
- Loading bitmap with loading music
- Front-end presentation with menu, intro and highscorelist.
- Plenty of awesome music from fieser wolf
- Compatible with theC64 mini, theC64 and theVIC20 (C64 mode).
We’d really appreciate it if you could RATE the game. It would help us a lot!
Another Grill & Chill party is coming up at Devlab, and as always, the most important resource needs restocking: beer. The delivery arrives on time, and is promptly left outside in front of Devlab.
That’s when disaster strikes. Hostile aliens suddenly appear, clearly having picked up the universal signal for free beer. Their mission: steal Devlab’s precious supply before the first grill is even fired up.
Luckily, this is a job for the toughest man in the 8-bit world. Armed with nothing but a crossbow and questionable decision-making skills, AmiRun jumps into action to stop the invasion, save the beer, and ensure the party can begin.

You can fire arrows at enemies, but watch out: during the reload time, you won’t be able to shoot. In other words, shooting has a cooldown.
As the game progresses, both the spaceship and the enemies begin to fire at you. After a set number of enemies are defeated, you can rappel down and retrieve the beer crate.
- This enemy floats slowly down to the ground.
- This enemy falls faster, increasing the threat level.
- This enemy descends very quickly and is therefore highly dangerous.
After all enemies are defeated, you’ll need to hurry and grab the beer crate, as the spaceship immediately begins charging its weapon. If you take too long, it will fire and hit you for sure. Each completed round awards a 25-point bonus.
You get an extra life at 600 points, and additional lives the higher your score gets.

Controls are handled via the joystick in port 2. While Ami is attached to the rope, movement is limited to up and down. Pressing the fire button fires an arrow. Note that there is a brief cooldown before another shot can be fired.
Once Ami reaches the ground, he can let go of the rope and run left and right to save the beer crates. At that point, he has no weapon, as he needs both hands to carry the beer crate back to Devlab.
